Our Vision:
Training Students to Faithfully Follow Jesus
Our Values:
Training
We believe that knowing and submitting to the will of God as He has revealed it in His Word requires training (2 Tim. 3:16-17, Phil. 4:8-9, Matt. 7:24-27). Training in godliness is essential if we want to be healthy and effective life-long laborers for God’s Kingdom. While God’s grace is responsible for our transformation, we acknowledge that our personal initiative plays a part.
Faithfulness
We acknowledge that we are not perfect, but that God has called us to be faithful with the things He has entrusted to us (Matthew 25:14-30). To some extent, training looks different for each of us. Some of us are learning to walk and some of us have been running for a while. But God has one expectation of us that encompasses every circumstance - to be faithful with what He lays before us. Thus, faithfulness and personal responsibility are important to us.
Missional Living
We believe that God’s grand mission is to restore mankind to relationship with Himself through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ (John 3:16-17). We believe that God has called us to join Him in this grand mission by sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with the world (Matthew 28:19-20). We believe that the best way to join God’s mission is to practice by intentionally “living out” the nature of Christ, in word and deed, in our community.
Community
The most effective way to train is with training partners. Thus, we are devoted to the health and growth of the local church and of one another. We believe that God has a grand and eternal purpose for the church (Ephesians 3:9-12) and, as members of the church, we seek to work together in love and unity (Ephesians 4:1-16). We choose to invest in genuine, loving relationships as we encourage one another to continue to follow Jesus (John 15:12-13).
